For Manufacturers who want to work with remodelers: The Remodeler is the primary specifier of materials and products that are used in a remodeling project much more so than the client. The partnership program takes control of the relationship with the remodeler and makes him or her an ally in marketing, selling and installing the manufacturers products and can involve certification of the contractors in the program. In addition, Manufacturers, especially those that employ two step distribution, rarely know who is actually buying their products, why they agreed to buy it and the experience of the client/end user of the product. The partnership program allows for data mining and also provides an opportunity for manufacturers to contact the end client and the remodeler to get valuable feedback and ensure quality of product and experience. The partnership programs bring the remodeler’s focus to the product(s) that are bundled into the program and other products that the Manufacturer makes. We have found that remodelers, once in a program, are much more likely to be loyal purchasers of the Manufacturer’s products and services. The partnership creates a “channel” of business that is fully visible at all stages of the process and yet does not require any changes to the functioning of the existing channel and in most cases can be designed to maximize the existing channel, especially iof the products are sold through a dealer network. With Case as the administrator and being responsible for the program, the manufacturer does not have to be the “police”. Case and the Companies involved can collaboratively select affiliates to optimize the chance of the success of the program. The Manufacturer’s role is to provide existing resources that Case can leverage with the program members as well as a certification process and plant tour to make the remodeler a highly educated validator of the Manufacturer’s quality.
